Reigning Olympic champions, the Blue will meet again from November 22 to prepare for the World Cup in Catalonia (December 1 to 19, 2021). A first list of 20 players was unveiled this Friday for this big week of work, punctuated by two friendly matches against Hungary. The French coach Olivier Krumbholz has called three Messines: Méline Nocandy and Chloé Valentini, crowned in Tokyo this summer, and Tamara Horacek, who has not played in major competition with the France team since 2016 but who scored points at the start October, during the first qualifying matches for Euro-2022.
The former Metz Handball players are numerous: Grâce Zaadi, Béatrice Edwige, Laura Flippes and Allison Pineau have been called up for this preparation, as has Laura Glauser, who is returning to the Blue after the international retirement of Amandine Leynaud.
Olivier Krumbholz will be able to draw on an experienced group, made up mainly of Olympic champions. All the executives of the Blue are back after being left to rest during the last rally. The young shoots who had precisely had the opportunity to show themselves at the beginning of October are, for some, a place in the tricolor collective. Orlane Ahanda (Nantes), Oriane Ondono (Fleury), Lucie Granier (Besançon) and Alicia Toublanc (Brest) could potentially experience their first international competition.
