Handball / Division 2. Sélestat’s last match against Pontault-Combault canceled

Sélestat was to play a last regular season game, this Friday at home against Pontault-Combault, to end an already very special season. This final reception will ultimately not take place due to two cases of Covid within the workforce of the Violets. Suddenly, the SAHB season ends with this cancellation since the match cannot be postponed to another date, the play-offs scheduled for Wednesday, May 19 preventing any extension of the regular season beyond this last day.

Points will be awarded on the basis of a weighting system which takes into account the number of points acquired by a team, divided by the number of matches it has played.

The 2020-21 season ends above all in a brutal way for an Alsatian team which had just returned to victory, a week earlier in Angers and which was determined to finish the exercise with a good performance against the former leader of the championship, still concerned by the first place now occupied by Saran, who validates direct access to D1. The Alsatian group also wanted to make a success of their last at home to offer a good exit to the players who left them (Antoine Gutfreund, Nicolas Minne, Benoît Deghaud and Alexis Biagui).
