Lemgo Lippe defended concentratedly and mostly patiently finished his attacks. The hosts initially developed too little penetration on the offensive and repeatedly failed due to the well-behaved TBV keeper Peter Johannesson, who parried 40 percent of the owl goal throws in the first half. Andrej Kogut scored in the 17th minute to 8: 4 for the East Westphalia, Ludwigshafen coach Benjamin Matschke took the first time out.
Lemgo Lippe extended the lead to five goals, but with two quick counterattack goals by Falk, the owls came back to 7:10 (23rd). Ludwigshafen comes up again
Lemgo Lippe defended the lead after the break and extended it to four goals in the meantime when Bjarki Mar Elisson scored 15:11 (39th). But Ludwigshafen increased and defended better. Jan Remmlinger (44.) scored the connecting goal for the hosts at 14:15 and brought the sold-out Friedrich-Ebert-Halle to a boil.
Jonathan Carlsbogard (44.) ended the run of the owls with the goal to 16:14. Lemgo Lippe remained cool and restored the three-goal lead after strong defense (50./20:17). When Ludwigshafen increased the pressure further, Lemgos Theuerkauf kept his nerve at two seven meters and scored at 23:21 (58.) and 24:22 (59.). 35 seconds before the end of the game, Andreas Cederholm took the owls off the sail with the goal of 25:23.
Premium of EUR 90,000 for participation in Final Four
With the qualification for the Final Four, which takes place in April (04 and 05 April 2020) in Hamburg, Lemgo Lippe has already secured a premium of 90,000 euros. Lemgo Lippe had a 27:24 win over the Bergisch HC Qualified for the quarterfinals, Ludwigshafen had narrowly (25:24) with the second division Sport-Verein">ASV Hamm prevailed.
