Handball, major league: TuS Steißlingen – TSG Söflingen 22:41 (13:21). – Both teams got off to a good start in the game. A true spectacle for the spectators in the packed Mindlestalhalle. TuS even had a small advantage on its side at the beginning and was able to present 3:2 in the 4. th minute of the game. Söflingen then turned the game, but the Steißlinger stayed tuned.
In the 16th minute of the game, a balanced 10:11 appeared on the scoreboard. But then a few mistakes crept into the Steißlingen attacking game and too often the move to the goal was missing. So the Söflingers were able to break away to 21:13 by half-time. A big mortgage for the TuS Steißlingen.
In the second round, Steißlingen found it difficult to break through the offensive defenses and were often left behind in their own defense. Thus, TSG Söflingen was able to gradually expand its lead and finally win clearly with 41:22.
Nevertheless, the team around coach Dominik Garcia was honored with fan chants. The mood in the hall was phenomenal and was not clouded by the defeat. On Saturday, the Steißlingers are challenged in Wolfschlugen. (ser)

No more left-handers in the backcourt
major league: HC Neuenbürg – HSG Konstanz II 30:27 (12:12). – The badly decimated second division reserve of HSG Konstanz had to accept a very bitter 27:30 (12:12) defeat at table neighbors HC Neuenbürg. “It’s very bitter,” Benjamin Schweda summarized an evening when everything went against the youngest team in the Oberliga.
First Sven Iberl had to pass due to injury, then left-handers Jan Stotten and Luca Lebherz also canceled due to illness. With Niklas Brake, a second left-hander and long-term injured Jonas Hadlich were missing. Not much was allowed to happen anymore – but that’s exactly what happened after a good start.
The only remaining left-hander for the right backcourt, Jo Knipp, saw the red card after six and a half minutes after contact with an opponent in a counterattack. A little later, the HSG also had to do without backcourt player Fynn Osann, who had to leave the field with dizziness.
Now Schweda only had two players left for the backcourt – with just under 50 minutes remaining. “The red card and Fynn’s early retirement were decisive,” said the HSG coach. “I have to give my boys a lot of praise despite a few mistakes. They fought tirelessly.”(joa)
HSG Constance II: Pauli, Moses (gate); Fehrenbach (5/2), Kriessler (2), Osann (3), Mack (4), Koch (4), Herbel (5/1), Knipp (2), Ulmer, Koester, Koeble, Mauch (2).
