Two weeks before the start of the new Bundesliga season (opening home game on 08.09.2024 against Stuttgart), the highlight of the pre-season preparations awaits the fans. On Saturday (24.08.2024) the SC DHfK HANDBALL DAY take place! In the QUARTERBACK Immobilien ARENA everything revolves around green and white handball from morning to evening.
The big Family festival including children’s area by DHfK partner Eventwerk (free entry) starts at 10 O `clock with numerous attractions such as a bouncy castle, handball darts, bungee trampoline, giant table football, beer garden and grill. All youth teams of SC DHfK Leipzig will be in action on the field. There will also be exciting Lectures and workshops offered, including with Bundesliga coach Rúnar Sigtryggsson (4 p.m.), athletics coach Hagen Pietrek (11:30 a.m.) and youth coordinator Matthias Albrecht (10 a.m.). Interested fans and athletes can also take part in a nutritional consultation in cooperation with AOK Plus (1 p.m.).
Another very special event awaits you at 2:30 p.m. In the FANZONE (ARENA foyer) Olympic silver medalist Luca Witzke at the autograph session and is of course also available to DHfK fans for personal photos.
Evening program with CHAMPIONS LEAGUE feeling
After the family celebration and handball duels in all age groups, the men will take over in the evening! First, the U23 of SC DHfK Leipzig will face EHV Aue at 5:15 p.m. Then the DHfK professionals will have their dress rehearsal for the new season and will receive 7pm the Polish champions and cup winnersWisla PlockBut that’s not all: After the final whistle of the match, SC DHfK Leipzig invites 8:30 p.m. for the fan festival with team presentation and meet and greets with all Bundesliga players.
