Solingen – Look, the TVB: The last form of Stuttgart won the sixth away win of the season in the handball Bundesliga on Wednesday evening with the 31:30 (13:17) at Bergischen HC in Solingen. The guests were already behind with five goals (10:15), but increased after the break: mainly thanks to left-hander Jerome Müller with six goals (all in the second half) and goalkeeper Johannes Bitter (14 saves). “In the first half we didn’t go on goal with courage, we did better after the break,” said Bitter, who switched to HSV, after the game in front of 800 spectators in the Klingenhalle.

With 250 spectators, the TVB has to be satisfied with its last game of the season on Sunday (3:30 p.m.) in the Stuttgart Porsche-Arena. It’s already bitter: “We’re just happy that we stay safely in the league.” After the game against Melsungen, not only he, but also right wingers Tim Wieling and Rudolf Faluvegi are bid farewell. The Hungarian, still injured after a cruciate ligament rupture, is returning to France to his ex-club Cesson-Rennes. “The team exudes values that are very important to me, such as struggle and solidarity,” says Faluvegi, who often had to struggle with injury problems in his two years in Stuttgart. That is why he will still be missing at the start of the season in France, while the Bundesliga will start on September 8th.
