Hanau Clinic: Grandparenting course – being a grandparent today, an update

Grandparents play an important role in the development of their grandchildren and granddaughters. They often take on the care task when the parents are working. That’s why the parent school at the Parent-Child Center is offering a new course for grandparents.

The role of grandparents has changed in many families. They not only provide knowledge and experience, but also actively support the parents in their new everyday life with the baby. Topics such as infant feeding and care, the extent to which grandparents can provide support and where limits should be set.

The grandparents receive tips on how differences of opinion can be dealt with and where and when they should withdraw in order to assert their own need for peace, relaxation and freedom. The aim of the course is to prevent conflicts between parents and grandparents due to different parenting views.
