To begin with.. you presented a bold personality to some during the Ramadan season through the series “Urgent Revelation”.. How were the reactions and your reception of it?
It was more than wonderful, and I did not expect the audience to accept the different character to this extent, especially since the series is a new experience for me and includes only 15 episodes. In particular, I followed the audience’s acceptance of all its heroes and the great praise for it, and this made me very happy, especially since I was very apprehensive.
What is new that excited you?
I previously cooperated with the producer of the work in the series “Maktoub Alia” and it achieved great success, and the producing company provides all the success factors for the work team, in addition to that the series is full of high-end comedy, and it contains interesting and attractive events in a woven dramatic sequence woven by the author Ihab Bleibel with great craftsmanship, and director Shadi Al-Ramli makes the filming atmosphere very easy and simple for everyone.
Aren’t you afraid of repeating the comedy experience?
Of course, comedy is more difficult than tragedy and all kinds of arts, but when I received an offer from the producing company and read the script and the idea, I liked them very much, in addition to the fact that Mohamed Abdel Rahman and Mustafa Khater are at work and they are stars in comedy and I felt that I would be safe with them, when I was reading the script I was I laugh involuntarily at their scenes, and my role is not explicitly comic.
During the events, you appeared as “Alia”, a singer of popular songs.. To what degree was she close to you?
“Alia” is very close to me, because I love folk songs and care about them. Even at my wedding, I made sure that folk artists were present. This role fulfilled part of my real dream, which is singing, and I still dream of it and will not give it up.
Does this mean that you are preparing a surprise in the world of singing?
Indeed, I am focusing this period on singing, and I will release a new song in the next few years.
What about multilingualism in the character “Alia”?
This is also not far from me because I speak more than one language, especially French, and this made me feel that she is a person close to my heart and I merged with her very quickly.
What is more difficult for you…tragedy or comedy?
Comedy, of course, has a difference between the two and requires effort, but comedy is more difficult and dangerous, because it is possible to show “Your blood is too heavy” and not show humor with the audience, and this is not acceptable, and it is possible to succeed in it, and unfortunately comedy does not have a middle solution, either It succeeded or failed, unlike the tragic roles, hence the difficulty of comedy. In addition to that, there is another problem, which is that most of the audience mistakenly believe that the comedy series must make all its characters laugh, and all the time they are waiting for the artist to make them laugh. He carries his responsibility on his shoulders alone and bears the result alone, and at least the viewers must accept you, unlike roles that are far from comedy, as things can pass easily if the character is not presented well, but in comedy, if you cannot make people laugh, the matter will turn against you and you will be greatly affected as an artist. .
And how did you find the competition this year around the 15-episode series, which spread strongly during the Ramadan season this year?
The competition first and foremost is for the benefit of the audience, as we strive to provide our best to make them happy during the Ramadan drama season, and there was more than one work that takes place in 15 episodes this year. Especially the young people who spend their time watching the platforms, and I see that the viewership has not been affected and it is now being shown again on satellite channels, and this is a double gain.
