This is a large bookstore in Jongno, Seoul.

Yesterday, 300,000 copies were sold in large bookstores alone, causing inventory to run out.

“After we saw that author Han Kang won the award, we thought about buying the book, but we heard that the book was sold out, so we were looking at other books and baby books. ”
An author-run bookstore also posted on social media and began temporarily closing.
Although the door was tightly closed, the front of the bookshop was crowded throughout the day as citizens continued to visit.

One writer, who refused to hold a press conference because of the outpouring of congratulations and support, gave his first brief comments about 110 characters last night.
After hanging up the phone announcing the news of the award, I slowly felt a sense of reality and emotion. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
International interest in the writer Han Kang is also growing.
