Hammerfest Shooting Incidents: Police Seek Witnesses as No Arrests Made

The police received several tips on Saturday after they called for witnesses to several shooting incidents in Hammerfest on Friday. So far, no one has been arrested in the case.

The police called for witnesses after shots were fired with air weapons or similar weapons in Hammerfest. Among other things, shots were fired at a window in a private residence at 1 o’clock on Friday night, as well as two bus shelters.

On Saturday, the police received several tips, but want more, write NRK.

– If anyone has seen people with weapons, vehicles or other witness observations in the Baksalen/Storvannet area from midnight to 1.30 a.m. on the night of Friday, or has camera surveillance, then we want them to contact the police, says investigation manager Anette H. Sætrang in a press release.

– We also want contact if anyone has made similar observations in Rypefjord, says the head of the investigation.

So far, no one has been arrested in the case.
