British driver Lewis Hamilton on the Mercedes won Friday’s qualifying for the UK Formula 1 Grand Prix.
However, the reigning world champion did not gain pole position, as in the experimental format, the places at the start will be decided in Saturday’s race.
Hamilton defeated the current leader of the Dutch series Max Verstappen from Red Bull by 75,000ths of a second. Third was another Mercedes driver, Finn Valterri Bottas.
