Hamilton explained why he stopped expanding his collection of supercars F1 Magazine – F1online.sk

Seven championship titles, 105 victories, popularity among fans and sponsorship deals with world brands made Lewis Hamilton the second richest driver in Formula 1 history after Michael Schumacher. He invests his money in various projects or a collection of super sports, which, however, stopped growing.

In Lewis Hamilton’s garage, we find several expensive pieces with a total value of around 33 million euros. The seven-time champion is the owner of LaFerrari, 599 SA Aperta, LaFerrari Aperta, Shelby Cobra 427 from 1966, Shelby GT500 year 1967, McLaren P1, McLaren F1 (1995) or Mercedes Project One supercar, which he himself presented at the Frankfurt motor show in 2017.

“The last car I bought was Project One,” he appeared Lewis Hamilton. According to the information available, he bought two supercars, which are supposed to have the best of the single F1 seats – he gave one to his father Anthony. In addition, David Coulthard, Nico Rosberg and Valtteri Bottas are also proud owners of AMG One.

However, he did not buy newer “tools”. It seems to him that they are on the same footing, so to speak. “Of course, at home I always keep an eye on the cars that come out, but to be honest, most cars these days look the same . They’re missing something.”

If he wanted to expand his fleet of vehicles, he would not be looking for the next addition among the new things at car shows. “Now I’d rather watch the old classics. If I had to buy another car, it would probably be an old classic, because of its sound and feel. Today, there are not many brands that bring that feeling into their products. It’s not like that anymore…”

However, the interests of the Mercedes pilot also changed over time. Today, he pays more attention to music and fashion, which he displays every time he comes to the square. However, there is one more area in which he would like to invest.

“Nowadays I am more interested in art. That’s something I would get into – getting to know new artists, especially black artists who came from Africa, for example,” he appeared Hamiltonwho traveled to several African countries during the summer holidays. “I bought this.”
