There’s a lot going on about the crash between Max Verstappen on Lewis Hamilton and its aftermath said. But one of the protagonists, Hamilton himself, does not go along with the fuss that has arisen. He would like to have another beer with Verstappen.
One thought it was Verstappen’s fault, the other sees Hamilton as the culprit and yet another thinks both drivers could have handled it better. Nevertheless, they both ended up in the gravel pit, with Verstappen on top of his title competitor. Afterwards, it is the Dutchman who is then designated by the FIA as guilty and assigned a grid penalty. There has been a lot of discussion about the sudden end of the Italian Grand Prix for the ruffs.

Relationship with Verstappen
Verstappen and Hamilton have already made themselves heard about the crash and how they view it. Both believe that they are not (fully) guilty of the accident. In addition, the Briton says that nothing has changed in the relationship between him and his competitor. “I don’t see why I couldn’t have a beer with Max,” he says in conversation with Formula 1 MAGAZINE.
Respect van Nelson Mandela
According to Hamilton, it’s all about respect. “Behind what we do and what we say there is another dimension: the respect you have or don’t have for each other. I have always been inspired in that area by Nelson Mandela. He spent 28 years in prison and when he was released he went to have a cup of tea with the man who put him behind bars,” Hamilton said.
