Hamilton started the race in pole position. After starting, the position of the British driver was taken by Verstappen from Red Bull.

Verstappen continued to lead the race after restarting on lap 11. The Dutch driver even outperformed Hamilton about 1.5 seconds on lap 19.

Verstappen had a slow record at the pit stop, which saw him drop to third on lap 25. Hamilton led the race and was followed by Charles Leclerc from Ferrari.

Hamilton was again racing by Verstappen after entering the pit stop on lap 29. The driver from Mercedes was 23 seconds behind Verstappen because he returned to the pits on lap 42.

The race has gotten fiercer in the last six laps. Hamilton, who patiently managed to take over the leading position after entering the Verstappen pit.

Hamilton managed to maintain his position until he finished to become champion. Verstappen had to settle for completing the race in second place in front of Valtteri Bottas.

This result is Hamilton’s third victory during the 2021 championship. He leads the F1 2021 standings with 94 points, followed by Verstappen with 80 points and Bottas with 47 points.
