The eight-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton is making a film about the sport, which contains a couple of surprises. The 38-year-old British pilot talked about the project at the presentation of Mercedes in Silverstone, and how they started working together with Brad Pitt, who plays the main character in the film.
Hamilton announced last year that he is working on two projects with Apple TV+ and Dawn Apollo Films, including an F1 racing film starring Brad Pitt, which will be directed by Joe Kosinski, director of Top Gun: Maverick. According to the news, Pitt, considered a Hollywood legend and autosport lover, will play a retired pilot who returns to the field to help his team win the world championship.
The film will be produced by Plan B Entertainment, the production company founded by 58-year-old Brad Pitt, along with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. We were joined by Jerry Bruckheimer, who already has an action-drama sports film to his name: the creative Tom Cruise starring Tom Cruise.
At the presentation of Mercedes in Silverstone, Hamilton gave new information about the film.

“I have the script, but it went through a lot of changes. We are still waiting for a better team, this whole thing is a longer process.
