Hasan Salihamidzic, the sports official of the Bayern Munich Football Club, confirmed that international goalkeeper Manuel Neuer realizes that he made a mistake, after he risked practicing skiing, which caused him to suffer a broken leg.
Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga champion, was forced to sign Swiss goalkeeper Jan Sommer from Borussia Monchengladbach, to compensate for the absence of Neuer, captain of the German national team, until the end of the season, and perhaps beyond that.
Hamidic told Bild TV on Sunday: “Manuel realizes that he made a mistake, that is clear, he also feels very sorry.”
He added, “The most important thing for us and for Manuel is that he recovers from his injury and that he returns as strong as before.”
He pointed out, “We will give him all the time and all the support to recover again. Of course, we will also talk about everything else.”
The Bavarian club resumed its campaign in the Bundesliga after the suspension period, with a draw with its host Leipzig, with a goal for the same, on Friday.
Bayern Munich will have three goalkeepers when Alexander Noble’s loan to Monaco ends next summer, where he will be alongside Sven Ulrich and Sommer.
