Hamburger SV fell hard against VfB Stuttgart in the first game of the play-off final. The team from Hamburg has failed to promote to the highest level since relegation in 2018 to the 2. Bundesliga and it seems that it will not succeed again this year.
After just 43 seconds, the home team took the lead through a goal from Konstantinos Mavropanos. Serhou Guirassy then had the perfect chance to make it 2-0, but missed a penalty.
In the second half, Josha Vagnoman and Guirassy still took care of the big win at home, making it 3-0 on the scoreboard. To make matters worse, HSV ended the game with ten men after a red card from Anssi Suhonen.
