Hamburg Towers celebrated their fourth win of the season in a row in the Basketball Bundesliga. On Friday evening, the team of trainer Pedro Calles prevailed in the Inselparkhalle against the promoted MLP Academisc Heidelberg, who came second in the table, with 81:75 (36:31). The best thrower from Hamburg was Maik Kotsar (21). Ray McCallum, who was newly signed up during the week, had almost four minutes of play time, but was unsuccessful in the basket.

The Hamburger started weak in their sixth league game and were quickly 0: 6 behind. Until shortly before the half-time break, however, an open game should develop, with the Towers after a 29:31 deficit for almost five minutes no more, but scored seven points themselves.
In the second round, however, the hosts could not break away any further and in the meantime even had to accept the compensation. Only in the middle of the final quarter did the lead increase to eleven points. Nevertheless, it should be exciting again in the end. Ultimately, Maik Kotsar was able to provide the decisive points.
