Different leaders for the U-Bahn and S-Bahn

When it comes to the subway, the main station took the top spot in the first half of this year with almost 850 operations. The Jungfernstieg, Farmsen and Barmbek stations follow at a considerable distance with around 130 to 140 missions.

For the S-Bahn, Neugraben station leads the table – with 108 missions. This is followed by Holstenstrasse, Reeperbahn and, in fourth place, the main station. Last year, the Dammtor S-Bahn station had the most police operations – namely 176.

Theft is the most common crime at train stations

The reasons for calling the police are varied and no consistent trend can be seen from the numbers. By far the largest number of reported crimes on trains and at stations concerns theft.
