Hamburg Sea Devils’ Playoff Hopes Diminish with Loss to Frankfurt Galaxy

The Hamburg Sea Devils are in the European League of Football in the fight for renewed playoff participation before the end. The finalist of the past two years lost 14:17 (14:0) to the Frankfurt Galaxy on Sunday evening and suffered their fourth defeat in the seventh game. The guests had led 7-0 in the first quarter after a touchdown by Jean-Claude Madin Cerezo and a successful extra point attempt by kicker Eric Schlomm. In the second quarter, Benjamin Mau also increased with a touchdown and Schlomm again to 14:0. After the break, however, the Hessians dominated the game and finally decided the game in their favor thanks to a field goal.
