In Hamburg, vaccination against the corona virus should soon go even faster. At the beginning of May, the vaccine deliveries increase significantly – this is reported by both the social welfare authorities and the statutory health insurance doctors.
In the first week of May, more than 50,000 vaccine doses are expected for Hamburg’s vaccination center in the exhibition halls – most of them from Biontech / Pfizer. The prospects for the medical practices are even better: The Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians expects almost 100,000 doses for the practices, i.e. almost twice as many as for the vaccination center. Every doctor could use it to vaccinate up to 100 people in his practice at the beginning of May – in the coming week there will be only half as many. The doctors’ practices are also currently being supplied primarily with the vaccine from Biontec / Pfizer.
Now the city is also waiting for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. By the end of April, 5,000 cans are expected to arrive in the city. Because it only requires one vaccination, the remedy should be reserved primarily for the homeless.

Advice on vaccination sequence
On Monday, Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) wants to join forces with the country leaders for another vaccination summit. Then it should also be a question of whether the sequence of vaccinations will remain in spite of increasing deliveries or whether it will be canceled. Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn (CDU) announced on Thursday that the specified sequence of vaccinations could be lifted in June. In the Hamburg vaccination center, however, it is expected that until the end of June enough vaccine will be available.
The established sequence of vaccinations could also fall in Hamburg. But the end of June at the earliest, says the head of the vaccination center. (23.04.2021) more
