The goals from Guilherme Ramos (25th) and Immanuël Pherai (26th) gave the team an early 2-0 lead. BTSV was able to gain hope through Fabio Kaufmann (63′), but a second goal was not counted.

Both coaches made a change compared to matchday 13. Captain Jannis Nikolaou returned to the starting line-up for the guests from Braunschweig.
