Bottom up! At the end of August, the “Beer Week” will be held in Hamburg. On Thursday, Hamburg’s brewers gathered in the Landgang brewery in Altona to jointly brew a unique beer.
With this, the “Hamburg Beer Week” wants to set an example: The beer, brewed jointly by 17 Hamburg breweries, should not only be served at all locations during the festival, but also be available from the beginning of August, i.e. before the start of the event.

Stylistically it will be a pale ale, rounded off with small amounts of caramel, oats and wheat malt. The beer is fermented with top-fermented London ale yeast, which provides citrus aromas – a mixture of US and German hops. “A tribute to the cosmopolitan and international character of the port city of Hamburg,” explains Co-Brew organizer Brian Schlede, one of the initiators of “Hamburg Beer Week 21”.
In August: Then the Hamburg Beer Week takes place
At the end of August the event goes into the second round. # HHBW21 will take place from August 25th to 29th, decentralized at more than 30 locations in Hamburg. (mp)
