Hamburg (dpa / lno) – The regional soccer division Eintracht Norderstedt and Teutonia 05 will play on Saturday (3:30 p.m.) for participation in the DFB Cup. Whoever prevails and is allowed to play one of the coveted home games against a professional club can look forward to a considerable additional financial income of 137,000 euros.
The game is an elimination game, as the competition has almost completely fallen victim to the Corona restrictions. Only the first round was held last year, before Hamburg amateur football took an eight-month pandemic break. On Sunday, the HSV regional league team will meet their league rivals TSC Wellingsbüttel. Both games will take place in the Edmund Plambeck Stadium in Norderstedt.
In the Schleswig-Holstein cup competition, the regional league teams SC Weiche Flensburg 08 and 1. FC Phönix Lübeck face each other in the final. Weiche had thrown defending champion SV Todesfelde 2-1 out of the race on Wednesday. Phoenix prevailed 2-1 against the upper division club TSB Flensburg. The final will kick off on Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Uwe-Seeler football park in Malente.
