Hamburg Airport: 46 asylum seekers deported

Just a week ago, several rejected asylum seekers were deported from Hamburg on a chartered plane. On Tuesday, another deportation plane took off from the airport.

In the morning, a plane took off from Fuhlsbüttel towards Yerevan in Armenia. This was confirmed by a spokesman for the Schleswig-Holstein State Office for Immigration and Refugees, which had organized the deportation flight.

46 rejected asylum seekers deported to Armenia

On board the chartered “Enter Air” plane were 46 rejected asylum seekers from nine federal states and from Sweden. 18 asylum seekers came from Schleswig-Holstein, 19 from other federal states. Asylum seekers from Hamburg were also among them, “a single-digit number,” as a spokesman for the Hamburg Interior Ministry said. There were also nine asylum seekers from Sweden. The deportation took place without incident.

Only a week ago, 36 rejected asylum seekers were flown to Skopje (North Macedonia) and Belgrade (Serbia) on a chartered “Enter Air” plane.
