“The establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital requires more urgent efforts and practical solutions to make (Israel) stop the aggression and genocide against our people,” Hamas said in a statement, which was reported by the news agency. AFPTuesday (12/11/2024).
Hamas made the statement after the leaders of Arab and Muslim countries called on Israel to withdraw from the Palestinian territories as a precondition for regional peace. This request was made at a Special Arab-Islamic Conference held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
