10:14 a.m.: A memorial plaque for former Zionist organizations has been defaced with two triangles painted red. A passer-by is said to have discovered the graffiti around 11 a.m. on Wednesday and alerted the police.

The Palestine Office of the Jewish Agency and the Zionist Association of Germany were located at Meinekestrasse 10 in Charlottenburg until 1941. The downward-facing red triangle is known as a symbol of the terrorist organization Hamas. The police state security has taken over the investigation.

2:40 p.m: Police are asking the public for help in finding a man who is alleged to have sexually assaulted a child on a bus. Photos show the suspect on the bus and in a subway station. The man is accused of groping a girl several times on Saturday, April 13, 2024, between 12:50 p.m. and 1:10 p.m. on the BVG bus on line X76 near the Alt-Mariendorf subway station. He is said to have rubbed his hand on the child’s covered thigh, hugged him and touched him on his upper body.

11:48 a.m.: In the Schöneweide district, a 38-year-old and his two-year-old son were attacked by an unknown person on Monday afternoon. The father is said to have approached a man around 4:30 p.m. because he had attached a sticker with political content to a tree on Segelflieger Dam, the police said. The unknown person then suddenly sprayed pepper spray into the father and son’s faces. The attacker was able to escape undetected and the father and child were treated as outpatients in an ambulance. The police are now investigating dangerous bodily harm.

11:33 a.m.: An Israeli tourist and her father were attacked at a pro-Palestinian rally, police said. The woman shouted something pro-Israel in the direction of the demonstration. The two were then attacked with punches and kicks and were slightly injured. Police arrested four suspects in this connection.

10:56 a.m.: On Friday night, the police stopped a 30-year-old on the wrong side of the A100 city motorway – on his e-scooter. The man was traveling in the left lane in the opposite direction, police said. Several cars would have had to brake or swerve. A breath alcohol test showed that the wrong-way driver had set out on his life-threatening tour with an alcohol level of 1.01 per mille.

6:08 p.m.: A 50-year-old man was arrested in Berlin-Spandau on Friday afternoon after he allegedly threatened his 71-year-old neighbor with a pistol. The incident occurred on Zeppelinstrasse in the Falkenhagener Feld district.

According to police reports, the senior citizen went to his neighbor’s apartment around 3:30 p.m. to ask him to reduce the volume of his music. The conversation apparently escalated, with the younger man becoming aggressive and pointing to a gun in his waistband. He is said to have verbally threatened the 71-year-old.
