In a report Thursday, Hamas spokesman for al-Quds Muhammad Hamada said: “These Zionist policies will fail to make an impact on the collective consciousness of the growing Palestinian generation and will fail on the well-constructed one Palestinian identity rooted in the hearts and minds of our people, old and young, and in all their dwelling places.
Hamada stressed that Palestinian teachers and students, with their iron will, are leading the campaign to defend the Palestinian curriculum and schools and protect them from the Israeli occupation’s Judaization plans.
He pointed out that Israel’s Judaization policy is not new, but it had recently increased and is still rising in connection with the Israeli occupation policy to Judaize Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by relocating Jerusalemans, their Homes being demolished, their ID cards confiscated and extremely high taxes imposed on them under flimsy security pretexts to force them to leave the city and make way for new settlers.
Israel’s plenary session of the Knesset recently approved in a preliminary reading two motions aimed at a broader survey of schools and teachers in Israel, including East Jerusalem.
