Hamas Hostage Crisis in Gaza: Residents Speak Out Against Militants

A resident of the Gaza Strip publicly accused Hamas of taking civilians hostage.

Dissatisfaction with the Hamas group is rapidly growing among the population of Gaza. Residents are already openly saying that the militants have made them their hostages.

An appeal from a wounded Gazan resident is spreading online, cursing Hamas. Footage available at Telegram channel “Ukraine 365”.

The man said that Hamas is not allowing civilians to evacuate to the southern part of the enclave so as not to lose their human shield. At the same time, the leaders of the group and the children of militants are safe abroad.

Hamas forbade us from moving from north to south, so we were stuck here. Where are these Hamas “heroes”? Half underground, half abroad! They live abroad in hotels and they and their children have a blast! Meanwhile, the Hamas children went south. And we sit here, waiting. What should we do? So where is Hamas? Where are the “heroes” of Hamas? Where are you? You will answer to Allah!” – said the man.

Those around him tried to silence him.

Shut up man, shut up“, – said people behind the scenes.

Note that Hamas carried out a brutal attack on Israel on October 7, for which all of Gaza is now paying the price. The Israeli army responded by declaring war on the group and launching a ground operation in the enclave. IDF troops have isolated the northern part of the territory, where the Islamist infrastructure is concentrated and are destroying it, and heavy fighting is taking place.

Hamas is hiding behind the civilian population, preventing their evacuation to the south of the enclave. Militants are forcibly holding people in the combat zone, putting their lives at risk.

Earlier, Dialog.UA reported that Hamas militants took all the medicines from the doctors of the Shifa hospital.

We also wrote that Israeli tanks broke into Gaza City – Hamas headquarters was surrounded.
