The Palestinian armed group Hamas defended the raid on Israel on October 7 last year, but admitted that the action was faulty and called for an end to Israel’s aggression in Gaza.
In its first public report, Hamas said the raids were necessary to oppose Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory and a way to secure the release of Palestinian prisoners. In the 16-page report, Hamas also admitted that due to the rapid collapse of Israel’s security and military systems and the chaos caused by the Gaza border area, some errors occurred in the operation.
