He Ministry of Health of Gazacontrolled by Hamaspublished on Monday the death toll for the past 48 hours, in which it reported that 142 Palestinians lost their lives, most of them in the Israeli bombing of the school Al Tabaín of Gaza City on Saturday.
Of the total, “the names of 107” of the dead who arrived at the hospitals were known, while the centres are still trying to identify the other deceased whose remains they collected, in most cases dismembered by the impact of the three missiles that Israel launched at the school.
The Ministry of Health also warned that 150 people have been injured in the last 48 hours as a result of attacks by the Israeli army.
Since the war began in October, 30,897 Palestinians have died in Gaza, mostly women and children, while 92,152 have been injured, not counting the more than 10,000 bodies that remain in the rubble and are inaccessible to emergency teams, according to the Health Ministry.
Many of those killed in these two days were victims of the same attack: the Israeli bombing of the Al-Tabain school in Gaza City.in which the authorities in the Strip initially counted some 93 deaths.
The armed forces, for their part, claimed that it was a precision attack in which they killed 19 Palestinian militants, whom they identified by name and affiliation.
On Monday, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported a new attack on the capital of the enclave, in the north, in which two people were killed in the home of the Murad family, west of the city.
The Army announced early in the morning the death – which occurred on Monday – of the soldier Omer Ginzburg19 years old, who was fighting in southern Gaza, in the area of Jan Yunisshot dead by a sniper.
Since the start of the ground operation in Gaza, 332 soldiers have been killed in Gaza and more than 1,500 have been wounded, according to the army itself. In total, more than 690 soldiers have died, taking into account the attack of 7 October.
The armed forces launched their third ground operation in the city last Friday, after once again ordering its evacuation and redirecting its inhabitants to an increasingly reduced “humanitarian zone” of Mawasi, where thousands of people are crowded into tents on the beach in poor humanitarian conditions.
