Hamas Announces Release of Foreign Hostages and Declares Gaza a “Cemetery” for Israeli Army

The military wing of the Hamas movement announced on Tuesday that it would release foreign hostages “in the coming days,” stressing that Gaza would become a “cemetery” for the Israeli army as the war entered its twenty-fifth day.

Abu Ubaida, spokesman for the military wing of Hamas, said that Gaza will become “a graveyard for the enemy and a mudhole for its soldiers and political and military leadership,” stressing: “We give good news to Netanyahu and his war chiefs that they will kneel at the end of the battle, and the war in Gaza will be his political end.”

The Hamas movement launched an unprecedented attack in the history of the Hebrew state on October 7, during which it infiltrated Israeli areas through the separation fence and attacked border towns and residential communities, causing the death of more than 1,400 people, most of them civilians, and 240 hostages were also taken, according to the Israeli authorities.

Abu Ubaida announced: “The mediators informed us that we will release a number of foreigners in the coming days in line with our desire not to keep them in Gaza.”

The Hamas Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that the death toll had reached 8,525 people in the Gaza Strip, as a result of the continuous Israeli bombing since the Hamas attack, including 3,542 children.

Abu Ubaida denied what the Israeli army announced a day earlier about the liberation of a female soldier hostage from the Gaza Strip, saying: “We monitored the enemy’s story regarding the liberation of one of its female captives, and we deny that it reached any prisoner held by Al-Qassam.”
