As if the week wasn’t already busy enough for fans of Halo, with the launch of a new game, there’s more to come. Paramount+ released yet another teaser of the series that debuts in service in 2022, with a squad of Spartan soldiers preparing for combat and a quick look at the ships and production setting. The full trailer will be released this Thursday (09), during The Game Awards broadcast.
The event that selects the best video games of the year, hosted by Geoff Keighley, should be the first deeper look at the series, which promises to bring the story of the first in a new medium. Halo. That means, of course, the focus will be Master Chief, played by Pablo Schreiber (Orange is the New Black), in his fight to save humanity and fight aliens.

According to the first official information, there will be 10 chapters in the first season of the series. Halo, which will be produced by Showtime and has Steven Kane (The Last Ship) as a showrunner. Other names in the cast include Natasha McElhone (Californication), Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo), Yerin Ha (Reef Break), Shabana Azmi (Fire), Kate Kennedy (Catastrophe) e Charlie Murphy (Peaky Blinders).
The show is also part of the franchise’s 20th anniversary celebrations, and it’s no coincidence that the first Halo, originally released in 2001, is the focus. At the same time, the good progress of production ends years of delays and postponements, since the series has been in different stages of development since 2015 and even had Steven Spielberg as a producer—he still signs as an executive producer through his company, Amblin Television.
This week it also came to Xbox and PC Halo Infinite, new game in the franchise and the first in a new generation of consoles. With the proposal to bring the style back to the original, the title has been receiving praise for its campaign mode, while the multiplayer brings that classic character and was already available to be played a few weeks ago.
