“Halo Infinite Veteran Joseph Staten Leaves Microsoft for New Opportunity”

Remember when Joseph Staten, the Halo veteran who joined 343 Industries in August 2020 to “save” Halo Infinite, left the studio earlier this year to return to Xbox’s publishing division? It turned out that it was almost as if he walked into the reception on his way out the door.

The state has confirmed that he now leaves Microsoft entirely. He doesn’t want to reveal why yet, but his statement makes it sound like another game studio has offered him something new and better.
