343 Industries doesn’t want to rush the next chapter in the story of Master Chief, Halo Infinite when it comes to the cooperative solution: we have to wait for it, but hopefully in return we get impeccable quality from the Xbox exclusive.
Joseph Staten from the studio talked about it Eurogamerrel. He mentioned here that the first season of Halo Infinite (whose multiplayer is already in beta, so you can find the free-to-play component on Steam, for example) will run until May. (We’ve described why before.) But with this protracted period, more content will come, but we also need to talk about its downside.
When they talked inside the studio about extending the second season of Halo Infinite until May, they talked about the cooperative campaign and Forge, respectively. Staten then raised that the goal should not change and the co-op game mode would still be ready for the second season of multiplayer, and for Forge, the target time is the start of the third season. (Since there will be seasons every three months, of which the first exception is, Forge may come sometime in August.)
Staten added that despite their extended first season, they have unchanged goals and now 343 Industries can’t be tied to tougher dates either, as the multiplayer beta has also shown them that there may be other factors that could come ahead in order of importance. He knows it’s going to be an ongoing challenge to “move the bigger stones” because players do have legitimate feedback on specific issues, but he hasn’t forgotten that there are some bigger things that fans need to bring. Such is the cooperative story mode and the Forge toolkit. These are great promises that they must keep.
Halo Infinite anyway gilded, so the production of the discs started so that we could grab the physical edition from the stores if we needed to (sometimes the laziness, ie the digital edition, could and should be overcome). THE game will be released for Xbox Series on PC on December 8 (Steam, Microsoft Store) or Xbox One.
