Disney + is preparing another year of spooky programming for Hallowstream with exciting new original films and popular Halloween classics. From September 24th, subscribers will be able to enjoy all of their favorite Halloween-themed episodes and films in the new Halloween collection on the streaming service.
As part of the Halloween celebrations, the three original programs “LEGO® Star Wars Scary Stories”, “Muppets Haunted Mansion” and “Just Beyond” will also be presented on Disney +.
New Disney + Originals premiering in October as part of Hallowstream
Available October 1st on Disney +, LEGO® Star Wars Scary Stories is a seasonal celebration of the villainous dark side of the Star Wars galaxy – just in time for Halloween. After the events of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”, Poe and BB-8 have to make an emergency landing on the volcanic planet Mustafar, where they meet the greedy and devious Graballa the Hutten, who bought Darth Vader’s castle and made it the first all-inclusive Luxury hotel in the galaxy wants to remodel in the Sith style. While waiting for his X-Wing to be repaired, Poe, BB-8, Graballa and Dean (a brave boy who works as Graballa’s mechanic) venture deep into the mysterious castle with Vader’s loyal servant Vaneé. Along the way, Vaneé tells three creepy stories related to ancient artifacts and iconic villains from various Star Wars episodes. While Vaneé tells his stories and lures our heroes deeper and deeper into the dark, shady side of the castle, a sinister plan unfolds. With Dean’s help, Poe and BB-8 must face their greatest fears, stop the resurrection of an ancient evil, and escape to return to their friends.
The Muppets’ very first Halloween special, Muppets Haunted Mansion, will be available on Disney + on Friday, October 8th. The brand new special features a star lineup of Muppets, celebrity guest appearances, brand new music and spooky fun for the whole family. “Muppets Haunted Mansion” takes place on Halloween night when Gonzo is challenged to spend a very daring night in one of the grimest places in the world … the Haunted Mansion.
All eight episodes of the supernatural anthology series Just Beyond will be available for streaming on Wednesday October 13th as part of the Disney + Hallowstream Celebration. Inspired by the writings of RL Stine, the series tells amazing and thought-provoking stories about a reality that is beyond what we know. In each episode, viewers get to know new characters who have to embark on a surprising journey of self-discovery in a supernatural world full of witches, aliens, ghosts and parallel universes.
To kick off the festivities early, fans can watch What If … Zombies ?! – Marvel Studios’ latest episode of the animation series premiering on Disney + today. In this spooky episode, the Avengers are plagued by zombies and the surviving heroes must find a cure.
2021 Halloween collection with fan favorites and scary content
In addition to the original Disney + content premiering in October, the Halloween Collection features a range of memorable films and episodes from popular Halloween-themed series. With film classics like “Hocus Pocus”, “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas”, “The Haunted Villa”, “Halloweentown”, “Zwexies – The Twin Witches” and many more, subscribers can celebrate the creepy festival at home. The haunted new Disney Channel Original Movie “The Mummy’s Secret” will also be available on Disney + on Friday, October 8th.
