LIVETICKER: HFC – SCF -:-
Before the game – 30 minutes until kick-off. And of course everyone is wondering how the HFC digested the historic 1:7 swatter against Dynamo Dresden. Is the uncertainty even more noticeable today, or is the team showing a defiant reaction?
Before the game – The guests from Breisgau go into the game with this eleven: Atubolu – Treu, Hoti, Schmidt, Makengo – Engelhardt – Fahrner, Wiklöf, Breunig, Guttau – Vermeij. This is just a change compared to the 2-0 win over Bayreuth last week: Ex-HFC professional Guttau comes on for Weißhaupt on the left.

Before the game – Bendel, Landgraf, Herzog, Deniz, Halangk, Damer, Steczyk, Gayret and Bolyki sit on the bench today. Vollert is missing due to illness, Mesenhöler and Müller are not in the squad either.
Before the game – interim coach Kiefer sends these eleven out on the pitch today: Gebhardt – Kreuzer, Winkler, Reddemann, Hug – Samson, Casar – Omladic, Zimmerschied, Berko – Nietfeld. As expected, Casar and Captain Nietfeld return to the starting XI, but there are more changes. Reddemann and Berko are new, but Vollert, Landgraf, Steczyk and Bolyki are out compared to the 1:7 in Dresden.

Before the game – today’s referee is Patrick Alt. The 38-year-old is very experienced and is in charge of his 113th third division game, plus 70 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga and six in the DFB Cup. Alt’s HFC record is completely balanced: four wins, two draws and four defeats. Good news: Alt was never sent off against Halle. Most recently, he officiated the HFC away win at 1860 Munich almost exactly a year ago.
Before the game – For the HFC, on the other hand, the table of the 3rd division is a real horror: The team was last passed up to rank 19, they are already four points behind the “saving bank”. And fewer and fewer clubs are deep down. Erzgebirge Aue won 2-1 against Mannheim on Friday evening and improved to 14th place with 24 points (Halle is at 17).
Before the game – The guests travel to Halle as third in the table – but they are not allowed to move up as the second representative of the SCF. Nevertheless, the place in the table speaks for the good work and the concentrated talent in the squad. But coach Thomas Stamm not only has a lot of talent, but also a real snapper in the team: Vincent Vermeij, the classic centre-forward type, has scored ten times and always makes the difference. The HFC could use someone like that…
Before the game – For HFC interim trainer Jens Kiefer it is the home game premiere today. The debut was lost 7-1 in Dresden, which annoyed the coach a lot – after all, it was a historic record defeat. Because the club didn’t find what they were looking for when looking for a coach, Kiefer got the chance today to correct the impression of Dresden.
Before the game – What one or the other HFC fan will also think of today: Julian Guttau. Born in Halle, he moved out of his youth club in the summer to struggle through the distance. The left foot did quite well, but recently he had lost his regular place. Maybe he can go against the old love again today?
Before the game – HFC fans will think back to the first leg in Freiburg with horror. Jonas Nietfeld and Niklas Kreuzer flew off the field within 28 minutes. Double outnumbered, HFC held the 0-0 lead for a long time until an own goal by Niklas Landgraf turned the tide. In the end, SCF won 2-0.
Before the game – welcome to the live ticker! We will be reporting here from 12 noon on the home game of the HFC.
