X-Men star Halle Berry was set to play Storm in Deadpool and Wolverine but Ryan Reynolds never called her.
The film was filled with lost Marvel characters, including the titular Wolverine, of course, played by original X-Men actor Hugh JackmanBut few other major actors from those films made an appearance, not even Patrick Stewart as Professor X or Berry as Storm.
“No,” Berry replied simply when ComicBook asked if he had been asked to reprise his role for Deadpool and Wolverine, though Reynold’s wife asked him personally. “Blake [Lively] She asked me once – I met her at a Marc Jacobs fashion show – and she said, ‘Would you ever be in my husband’s movie as Storm?’ I said, ‘Yes, if he asks me,’ but he never asked me“.
Halle Berry’s Storm did not join Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the latest Marvel film.
Berry’s X-Men career began alongside Jackman’s in the original 2000 film. He later portrayed the character in X-Men 2, X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Deadpool and Wolverine still was very successful without the appearance of Stormas it surpassed $1 billion at the global box office in its third available weekend.
