At noon on August 13, 8-year-old Angeliki was found dead at the bottom of the pool in a camp in Halkidiki.
According to what Vassilis Lambropoulos, police editor of the newspapers “TO VIMA” and “TA NEA” revealed to “Now Developments”, the judicial investigation has been completed in terms of gathering the evidence and at the same time four people are giving their written explanations.
Important facts and testimonies are revealed in the case file. First the testimony of a child who saw the little girl, the unfortunate 8-year-old for the last time under water, wearing her mask and greeting her shortly before she drowned. This particular testimony is considered important, as he is the last person to see the child alive.
Subsequently, according to the depositions, it is established that shortly before leaving the pool, the children-campers took a commemorative photo in a part of the pool that was shallow. At that moment the phrase “Angelic smile” was heard, and note that there is no other little girl with the same name. However, in the photo in question, Angeliki is not among the children.
In one of the case files – always according to the report of the police editor – the children seem to testify that the pool water was so cloudy which it did not appear whether any body would be submerged. Photographs later appeared in the case file showing the pool water to be clear.
