After a methodical investigation by the police officers of the Security Team of the Moudania Police Department, a total of 20 burglaries that took place in June and July 2022, in areas of Halkidiki and Thessaloniki, were discovered.
For the case, a case file was filed against a foreign man, for the crime of aggravated theft.
In particular, the aforementioned man, acting together with his unknown accomplice, systematically committed burglaries mainly in commercial vehicles, removing electrical tools and other objects.
From the investigation so far, it emerged that in the two months of June – July 2022 they committed:
● 17 vehicle burglaries in areas of Halkidiki and 1 vehicle burglary in the area of Thessaloniki,
● 1 theft from the courtyard of a business in the area of Halkidiki and
● 1 burglary in a warehouse in the area of Halkidiki.
They removed various electric tools, batteries, as well as other tools and objects, the value of which exceeds 35,000 euros, according to the statements of the victims.
In a search of his home in the area of Thessaloniki, various tools and keys were found and confiscated.
The investigation of the police continues both for the identification of the details of his unknown accomplice, as well as for their possible participation in other similar criminal acts. The case file will be submitted to the Halkidiki First Instance Prosecutor.
