TANGIER- It’s half-time here at the big stadium in Tangier where Guinea are led by Ghana, who had however started this match of the third day of the CAN U-23 groups badly. The Syli is beaten 1-0 after the first 45 minutes of the match.
After half an hour of play, Ghana will logically take the advantage following a bad exit from the Guinean goalkeeper. Emmanuel Yeboah took advantage of a good combination to open the scoring (1-0, 35th minute). Previously, Aguibou Camara had missed a golden opportunity, when he fired into the opponent’s empty goal, but his shot was off target. The acrobatic return of Seydouba Cissé in the last moments did not allow the Syli to equalize before half-time.
With this score at the break, the Syli national U-23 is eliminated. Unless the Guineans react in the second half and seek at least a draw that would qualify them for the semi-finals. Everything is therefore open.
