The painting will go under the hammer on October 14, auction house Sotheby’s said. The proceeds of the painting are estimated by experts between 4.7 and 7 million euros.

The painting was also sold at Sotheby’s in 2018, when it was still called Girl with a balloon. Just as the work was sold to the highest bidder for 1.2 million euros, those present saw it disappear through the shredder.

After the promotion, which attracted worldwide attention, the work was renamed Love is in the bin. Watch how the painting partially destroyed itself here:

Images of the auction went around the world. According to the auction house, Banksy has actually created a new work of art with the destructive stunt, making it worth more now.

Despite the artwork’s popularity, the current owner has decided to sell the painting. But before that, the work will first be exhibited in London, Hong Kong, Taipei and New York.
