The first-person shooter series “Half-Life” receives a new sequel 12 years after the release of the last game. In March this year, the American developer studio Valve “Half-Life: Alyx” on the market.-
There is currently no exact release date, but players should be able to get in the mood for the launch of “Alyx” until then. After some Steam users reported that a bug on the gaming platform had announced the action ahead of time, it is now confirmed:
Valve makes all half-life parts (except of course Alyx) free of charge until the release of the VR sequel. So the free games include Half-life 1. Half-Life 2 together with both additional episodes such as Team Fortress Classic and the Half-Life extensions “Opposing Force” and “Blue shift“. The offer is only valid for the period up to the release. After that, the games will in all likelihood remain in the game library, but can only be started again when the license is purchased.
