Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health, reviewed the state’s efforts in the health sector and reforming the health system.
The Minister of Health presented the health insurance system, governance, the road map for launching health insurance and the rehabilitation plan for the Egyptian citizen for that system, as well as the presidential initiatives in the health sector.
Dr. Hala Zayed said: “It is with the vision of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi that we have worked and, God willing, the comprehensive health insurance system targets 100% of the citizens, and there is governance to expedite service and provide oversight on it and save the family spending.”
She added that the comprehensive health insurance system is mechanized to preserve the health of the citizen and the road map was full of challenges, but there was a package launched by the President to rehabilitate Egypt and the Egyptian citizen through health initiatives, and the first of which was the initiative to eliminate virus C.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurates the Integrated Medical Complex in Ismailia, as part of a number of projects to be opened in the health sector.
Ambassador Bassam Rady, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the Ismailia Medical Complex includes a group of integrated treatment centers in different specialties and emergency departments to provide medical services to the people of the province according to the latest standards of accreditation and international quality, in addition to that it is a main center within the integrated health insurance program for citizens in the governorate. Within the framework of the comprehensive health insurance system planned to be established and circulated at the level of the Republic to provide integrated health care according to the highest medical standards for all Egyptians nationwide.
