Hamburg. Hala Kanjo never arrives at her school – then the parents raise the alarm. Investigators are now asking the public for help in the search.
She was on her way to school, then she lost track of her: it was almost a week ago 12 year old Hala Kanjo out of Hamburg-Harvestehude disappeared on Thursday morning (October 10).
So far only that was Hamburg police involved in the search, on Tuesday the girl’s parents agreed to a public search.

Hala Kanjo had her parents’ apartment in the Sophienterrasse left to go to school from here. However, she never showed up here. And she hasn’t returned home since then.
The parents spoke to their daughter on the phone once, but beyond that there was radio silence.

Hala Kanjo is described as follows:
- Southern appearance
- Apparent age: 16 to 17 years
- 160 to 165 cm tall
- Slim figure
- Dark brown, long hair
- At the time of her disappearance she was wearing an olive green hooded jogging suit and black trainers
- Carries a pink backpack
12-year-old Hala Kanjo was carrying a pink backpack.
Witnesses who can provide information about the whereabouts of the missing people are asked to call the Hamburg police tip line on 040/4286-56789 or contact a police station. Anyone who sees the missing person on the street can call 110.
