Events are organized to celebrate the Republic, inherited by Ataturk, with enthusiasm.
2 thousand 208 people participated in the Kocaeli 100th Anniversary Republic road run. The Republic Run was organized in 3 categories: 1 kilometer children’s marathon, 3 kilometer public marathon and 10 kilometer run. Participation in the race, which was organized in accordance with the Athletics Federation and IAAF competition rules, was intense this year as well. A total of 2,208 people participated in the marathon, including young, old, veterans, disabled and non-disabled citizens.
Tazegül First, Kurt Third
Our country’s successful athletes Hakan Tazegül and Eser Kurt, who participated in the Kocaeli 100th Anniversary Republic 10 kilometer road race in Turkey, achieved important degrees. Kocaeli 100th Anniversary Republic 10 kilometer road run Hakan Tazegül, one of the successful athletes of our country, came first in Turkey in the 40-44 age group. Our other athlete, Eser Kurt, competing in the same age group (40-44), successfully represented our country by placing third.

On this meaningful and beautiful day, our successful athlete Hakan Tazegül, who participated and came first in the 40-44 age group in the 10 km race in the 100th Anniversary Republic Road Race held in Kocaeli, thanked the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who entrusted the Republic to us on the 100th anniversary of our Republic.
