Muscat: The Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs (MERA) has announced that online registration for this year’s holy Hajj will begin on February 21. Omani citizens and residents can register through the portal https://hajj.om/ till March 4.
This year, 14,000 people from Oman will get a chance to perform Hajj. This is more than last year. Increasing the quota will enable more foreigners to go for Hajj. But there has not been any huge increase in the quota. At the same time, it is not clear how many natives and foreigners will get the opportunity this year. This will be known in the coming days.
