The first flight of pilgrims from Bobo-Dioulasso took off yesterday Monday, June 12, 2023 in the direction of Mecca.

The first flight of Burkinabè pilgrims took off from Ouagadougou International Airport on Friday morning June 2, 2023, around 7:00 a.m. with “430 pilgrims” on board, bound for Medina.

According to the FAIB, a total of 18 flights, including 4 to Bobo-Dioulasso, are planned and the last flight will take place on June 18, 2023 at 10:25 a.m. According to the quota, a total of 8,143 Burkinabè pilgrims are expected at this Hajj 2023. They will be taken care of by 128 travel agencies. The age restriction lock for pilgrims was lifted this year. The pilgrimage will take place from June 26 to 1is July 2023.
