PT Jhonlin Group, a company owned by Samsudin Andi Arsyad alias Haji Isam build a cooking oil factory in Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan. Through his business unit, PT Jhonlin Agro Raya (JAR), Haji Isam built a cooking oil factory with a capacity of 160 tons per day.
Quoting Antara, Director of PT JAR Zafrinal explained that the factory will produce premium cooking oil in 1 liter and 2 liter packages at affordable prices to the public.
The construction of the factory, which is being carried out by PT Wijaya Karya Rekayasa Konstruksi, will start on July 29, 2021 and is targeted for completion on July 29, 2022.
“This cooking oil factory is a fraction of a refinery factory which will process 250 tons of raw materials per day and be able to produce 160 tons of cooking oil per day,” said Zafrinal, quoted from Antara, Saturday (5/3/2022).
On the other hand, during the construction of the factory, up to 250 local residents sucked in labor. When it starts operating, it will also absorb the majority of local workers
“If the factory operates, it will certainly create new jobs and the plan is to absorb 80 percent of the local workforce,” he added.
