According to the spirit of the “Special Rectification Plan for Fushou Snails in Haiyan County”, Haiyan County Administration and Law Enforcement Bureau has actively planned, acted quickly and taken multiple measures to implement the prevention and control of Fushou snails and achieved certain results.

The first is to improve the evaluation methods and include them in the “four in one” evaluation. Update and adapt the “Four in One” Long-Term Cleaning Job Evaluation Method for Urban and Rural Sanitation in Haiyan County, “add a new element of” Fu Shou Snail Cleaning “in the daily evaluation and provide the situation of finding snail eggs in rivers, river banks, ponds, ditches and other areas. Snail cleaning was included in the “four in one” rating as a starting point for the work and the importance of snail cleaning in cities and streets was continually increased, setting the stage for maintaining the ecological environment.

The second is to increase inspection efforts to eliminate hidden hazards in a timely manner. Lianhe County Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, County Water Conservation Bureau and other departments carried out two joint inspections, and in the monthly “four in one” inspection, snail cleaning Fushou was one of the inspection targets. Taking the river as a unit, the investigation was conducted one by one and the detected problems were distributed to the cities and roads of the subdistrict through the county’s smart urban management platform and the rectification was to be completed within 7 days. In response to the situation of snails found in the “four in one” river inspection of rural toilets, each city (street) performed special grinding work for snail control, comprehensively inspected agricultural land, ditches, rivers and others places within the jurisdiction, and adopted manual snail harvesting, snail egg removal, harmless treatment methods such as centralized destruction will eliminate the snail spread momentum in the bud and effectively restrain the snail’s ecological damage. According to statistics, more than 20,000 people have been sent since the beginning of this year and more than 300,000 Fushou snails and more than 300,000 egg masses have been cumulatively removed.
